Your vibe. Your crew. Your Haven
About Hang Haven
We're building a trusted ecosystem where tween and teen girls discover who they are, develop leadership skills, and find authentic connection - both online and in real life.
“I saw girls around me - including myself - trapped in systems that make us feel inadequate. Social media rewards perfection, and entire industries profit from our insecurity. I refused to accept that as inevitable.
I'm building a media and technology startup that flips the script: authentic stories by girls, spaces for connection not comparison, and profits that fund girls' mental health and education. My first step is a YA novel about a freshman facing social hierarchies, showing how storytelling can help us question - and start to redesign - the systems shaping our lives.”

About Us
Hang Haven was founded in 2024 by Zara Mustafa when she was just 14 years old. As a Kurdish American teen with a passion for bringing people together and building communities, Zara recognized what was missing for her generation: authentic stories and trusted spaces where girls could discover who they really are. Rather than waiting for someone else to create it, she decided to build the brand she wished existed.

Hang Haven is built to be a change maker!
At Hang Haven, giving back isn’t an addon - it’s part of who we are.
We invest 30% of profits in girls’ empowerment and leadership programs—funding organizations and initiatives that help young women learn, lead, and lift others.
We partner with schools and local nonprofits to launch community service projects that help girls take action close to home - supporting causes that matter in their own neighborhoods.
We create advocacy toolkits and mentorship opportunities that teach girls how to write to local leaders, share ideas with policymakers, and use their voices to influence real change.
We host leadership challenges and social impact campaigns that encourage girls to turn empathy into action - transforming ideas into measurable impact across their communities.
