Getting sick doesn't guarantee you'll get healthcare. This session explores how insurance, employers, public policy, and affordability work together to shape who can access care, and why the answer is more complicated than most people think.
Is what you see online really your choice?
What appears on your feed wasn't picked by you. It was selected by an algorithm trained on what keeps you scrolling, paid for by an ad market that values your attention, and shaped by creators competing for both.
Is school lunch really just about food?
For many American students, school lunch is the most reliable meal of the day. What ends up on the tray isn't really a food question. It's the result of federal reimbursement rates, what suppliers can deliver at scale, and the nutrition rules schools have to meet.
Who really gets the chance to play?
Are the best athletes making the team, or are some kids getting a better chance to become good? Youth sports can look like a simple test of talent and effort. But money, transportation, coaching, field access, private clubs, travel schedules, and family time all shape who gets to play, improve, and compete.
